Description:
For sale is a WWII M7 USMC shoulder holster, made in 1945 by Boyt Harness Company in Iowa for carrying M1911 type pistols.
A similar M7 holster is shown in Meadows book on “U.S. Military Holsters & Pistol Cartridge Box", pages 319 and 320. The M7 holsters were made specifically for USMC aviators in 1945.
Holster is in excellent condition and has not been heavily oiled or dyed black from post-War modification. The pistol shown with the holster is for fit check only.
