Here we have a High Standard R-108 Sentinel Deluxe Double Action revolver in .22 long rifle caliber. The Sentinel was a 9-shot .22 revolver. It was advertised to have an anodized aluminum frame, high-tensile carbon steel barrel and cylinder, single-stroke multiple ejection, a swing-out counterbored cylinder, a non- slip scored trigger, a diamond-checkered grip, and target accuracy. The gun, like the Broomhandle Mauser, is screwless but for the grip screw. This particular example is in good condition overall exhibiting some high edge wear, turn rings on the 9 shot cylinder, some marks on the bottom of the grip and finish loss on the rear sight. The 6" barrel has a good bore with strong rifling. The grip panels are in very good condition being free of cracks or chips. Both double and single action work as they should. This High Standard would make a fine addition to a collection or a great way to start a new collection. Original box and paperwork are included.
