Here we have a very clean Walther P22 semi automatic pistol chambered in .22 long rifle caliber. The P22 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered for .22 long rifle rimfire ammunition. Manufactured by Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen, it was introduced in 2002. The P22 may be fired double action at about 11 pounds-force , and operates as a single action with slightly more than 4 pounds-force. The P22 operates by blowback where pressure generated by a firing cartridge is countered by a combination of the inertial weight of the slide assembly and the force of the recoil spring. The action will not open until the projectile has left the barrel and the pressures have dropped to safe levels. This particular example is in black with a black slide and light white color fill lettering. The P22 is known for it's accuracy and dependability. The paddle style magazine release under the trigger guard is ambidextrous as is the safety. The rear sight is adjustable for windage. This pistol is provided with the makers box and two magazines.
