Winchester Model 1886 .40-65. Made in 1889 per the included factory letter (copy), serial 36526 has a 26-inch octagon barrel (full-length magazine tube, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight) and a crescent butt plate. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.8 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore shows general browning and moderate roughness, yet retains viable rifling. Barrel/tube finish has thinned and browned with areas of light tarnish. Receiver has browned. Wood has been sanded. Markings are sharp. Mechanics are good. The price is firm and layaway is available. $2,750 plus shipping.
