Description:
*SALE PENDING*
Nice 1924 Colt 1911 transition pistol, one of 10,000  1911 pistols made. This pistol still retains most of its original blue finish, with some general thinning, high edge wear, and light patina on the front grip strap. The frame is marked with the intertwined WTG for Walter T Gordon. The barrel marked with the intertwined HP on the top and a K on the bottom in front of the lug and has the "lip" referred to in Clawson's book (K is poorly struck which is not uncommon). The slide has all the correct markings, with the capital "G" on the bottom and the correct machining on the disconnector recess as well as the "H" with serifs on the rear above the firing pin stop. The slide is also correctly un-numbered as outlined in Clawson's book. Receiver is marked on top "H" with serifs and "G" by the disconnector hole. Honest pistol, I would rate the finish about 80%. Comes with one two tone magazine and Colt archive letter. Email me with any questions.
