Description:
Selling a 4in Manurhin MR73 police with slim wood "service" style grips.
It has "MR73 Cal .357 Magnum'' marked on the right side (rather than the left), the serial number is on the bottom of the grip (rather than above the cylinder) and a texture is machined into the metal portion of the grip (normally this part is smooth) indicating this is an early production example made in Mulhouse (rather than Saint-Bonnet-le-Château where all production is currently done).
This "Police'' model has been discontinued for 30 something years and was never imported into the US in an official manner. What makes it different from other models of the MR73 is that It has fixed "gutter" style sights with an anti snag low profile front sight post and a lanyard loop. These features are exclusive to this model of the MR73 making it a rather interesting collectors piece.
Considering that this gun was a police trade-in, it remains in remarkably good condition. Although with that being said it is no safe queen, showing wear around the cylinder and on the trigger's strawing. It also has a few scratches with a prominent one located in front of the ejector rod. However the internals of the gun are in near perfect working condition, the pictures speak for themselves.
This was made before Beretta started importing MR73s and is thus discretely marked "TEXIMP FORNEY TX" on the bottom of the frame next to the trigger.
