Description:
A big and beautiful beast, this #6 Framed 36" Grade 2 hammerless gun made with damascus barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, extractors, capped pistol grip buttstock and original Dogs Head buttplate. The gun has very nice flame figured American Walnut stocks which are original to the gun. Engraved in standard Grade 2 pattern as seen in the photos.
Overall, the gun remains in very good original condition. Barrels retain about 70% of their original Damascus pattern. Action has toned to a pleasing gray with engraving mostly still crispy. Stocks appear mostly sound with checkering thinned and original. Buttplate is original. Bores are mostly bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine and the gun is overall quite nice for this particularly rare configuration - one of just 46!
