Description:
For sale is a Winchester 1885 High Wall in 40-65WCF caliber. The reblued 30" #3 barrel shows some light pitting and one noticable ding midway on the left flat of the octagon barrel. The reblued receiver shows a few light pitted spots but the lever appears to have an original finish. The serial number xx955 is only partially readable. The bore has strong rifling with some light frosting ahead of the chamber and another spot midway in the bore. It still shoots accurately with cast bullets. The buttstock is checkered with a steel shotgun style buttplate and sling swivel. The wood shows various dings and bruises but no cracks or splits. There is a repaired chip on the right wrist, filler of a chip on the left wrist and filler on the top behind the upper tang. This antique gun can be shipped directly to you in most locales with proof of age and not prohibited by local law. No sales to Hawaii, NJ, or other places that restrict sale of this gun. Shipping by USPS with tracking and insurance is $65.
