Here is a excellent example of a H&A XL 8 with the rare Merwin and Hulbert folding hammer 2-3/4 inch barrel
Gun is in mint condition finish is nice...couple very small spots from handling over the years but over all 98%+
Mechanics---The timing is tight like a new gun everything is tight and solid hardly any wear
the end of the cylinder shows no blackening (See pictures)which means gun hasnt been fired very much
Shiny clean cylinder bores
Nice rifling in barrel and no pitting what so ever...very nice example for the age
The grips are excellent as well hardly any wear
Serial is very low at #1558 all numbers match and i would date this last patent date of 1886 due to the super low serial
Would make a fine addition to any fine gun collection
