Description:
The original design for the automatic pistol which later became known as the Savage .32 cal. 1907 Model and its production was taken up by the Savage Arms Co. of Utica, N. Y. This .32 Caliber Savage Model 1907 was manufactured in 1919. They were often advertised as "10-shots quick" and frequently shown being used defensively. It is one of the earliest pistol designs in production to feature a double-stack magazine, holding ten rounds of .32. Savage was an important part of early American autoloading handguns, with interesting features such as a striker-fired mechanism which has an external cocking lever which appears quite a bit like a hammer. .32 ACP
