Description:
Got a U.S. Navy Jenks "Mule Ear" Carbine .54 Percussion.  We tried to get pictures of every logo, proof mark and whatever we could find.  We tried to get a picture of every thing.  If you need more.  Email.

"WM JENKS" is stamped in small letters on the top of the barrel parallel to the bore followed by "USN/RP/P/1846" perpendicular to the bore. Small "P" inspection marks are also on several components. "N.P. AMES/SPRINGFIELD/MASS" is marked in the center of the lock plate, and "WM JENKS" is stamped on the rear of the lock plate. This carbine has the later production rifled barrel and oval loading aperture. The front sight is an integral part of the front barrel band. A sling ring is mounted on the lower tang behind the trigger guard. It is mounted with a nearly full length straight wrist stock with crisp "RP" and "JL" cartouches on the left above the trigger guard.  The serial number "15/49" is stamped on the inside of the breechblock lever.

This carbine has the rifled barrel and oval loading aperture. The barrel is browned and the lock plate, breechblock lever and tang are color casehardened. The barrel bands, trigger guard and buttplate are brass. The front sight is an integral part of the brass upper barrel band. A sling ring is mounted on the lower tang behind the trigger guard. The carbine has no provision for a ramrod. The stock is oil finished black walnut.Look closely at the pictures as what you see in what you get.

I post on many of the firearms forums as PT-Partners.  PT-Partners is a retail/FFL Dealer. For those that are local, there is no Face To Face. On Line means On Line

General Information: FFL (Federal Firearms License) is required. Be prepared to obtain a copy of your local FFL holders license.   Since this is an Antique and FFL is NOT required.

For all in states where the local laws restrict this type of firearms, DO NOT BUY.

If your local laws restrict the magazine capacity, again do not buy.

I have no idea if this is a California Qualified Firearm, but I do ship to CA if you check other listings and something fits CA DOJ.  If you are CA and you can PROVE, and your RECEIVING FFL contacts me, I will ship this to CA
