Description:
PRICE REDUCED-I am offering, for sale, from my personal collection a limited edition, Centennial/Continental superposed set in the original fitted walnut presentation case. This combination shotgun/rifle is number 306 of 500 manufactured.
The 20 gauge shotgun barrels are 26 1/2 inches in length, choked mod./full, chambered for 3 inch shells. The .30-06 barrels are 24 inches long with adjustable sights.
The English style stock is made from a nicely figured blank with beautiful grain and color, no splits or cracks. The custom leather covered butt pad well fitted and of highest quality.
Condition is excellent overall. The wood shows some wear in the form of some shallow indentations that could be easily erased. There is one small chip in the sharp edge of the schnabel forend of the shotgun barrels. Blue is 99 0/0 overall. Gold and the silver finish is 99.99 0/0.
This combination worked well in the fields and river bottoms of Montana where I hunted pheasants and deer. The rifle was exceptionally well suited for jump shooting
whitetail deer in the thick cover. Very fast handling and well suited for instinctive shooting.
