Description:
This is an original Pacific Theater map brought home as a memento by a family member who served as a naval intelligence officer in Hawaii throughout WWII. It is approximately 3 feet square. The map bears the legend "Search and Occupation of Pacific Islands as of 27 September 1945". Pictures of the overall map and closer up segments are attached and they are fairly self-explanatory. The map has been previously retained in a glass frame, but to be shipped securely will need to be removed from that frame and rolled into a hard protective tube.
