Colt DA 45 M1917 revolver chambered in .45 ACP. Adopted by the US military in 1917 to offset shortages of the newer M1911 semiautomatic handguns for the First World War. The M1917 went on to serve in the US Army through the Vietnam War in the 1960s. "US Army" marked on the grip and the serial number (126213) indicates that the revolver was produced in 1917. .45 Colt
