Payment Types Accepted: money order Description: Here is one of the rare First Model 1873s that not only survived all these years but did so in nice condition. And it has a special order 28" barrel. Made in 1876, the year the James gang held up the Northfield bank and General Custer met his match at the Little Bighorn, this rifle has been around for a lot of history. The bore is very good with good rifling. The action works as it's supposed to and the lettering is all there. The finish has turned to a smooth patina with no rust. The wood is good with no cracks. It does have a few dings from nearly 150 years of us but no cracks or big gouges. And thankfully no previous owner thought they could improve its appearance by sanding the stock. A very nice untouched 1873 that was there for most of the "wild west". Shipping and insurance included to your door as this is an antique.
