This is a nice example of a Smith and Wesson New Model 3 revolver, chambered in .44 Russian. According to the included S&W factory letter, this particular example was delivered to the Hartley & Graham Co in New York City on July 2nd of 1898. The gun is all matching and has retained roughly 60% of its original high polish finish. There is spotty wear throughout, but the finish loss is most obvious along the barrel, on the underside of the trigger guard, on the cylinder, and on the grip straps. Comes with very nice original hard rubber grips. Very nice bore with great rifling. Antique so no licensing required.
