Here is a very nice 2nd Model 1873. Made in 1880 it has 120 years of dings and dents on the stock but no cracks or missing pieces- solid wood. Bore is very nice. The rear sight is the ladder type sight rather than the v-notch with an elevator. Action works as it should. All original (except maybe the rear sight but that's Winchester issue too). Metal has most of the turned original finish and no rust or pitting. Lettering all clear and visible. Some screwheads show some usage but serviceable. Very nice solid rifle. .44-40, which most 2nd Models are. I was surprised to end up with one in .38-40 (listed on GI as well). A very fine old Winchester that can ship to your door in most states. Shipping and insurance included.
