Description:
This M1822 French Arsenal horse pistol is around 200 years old and shows its age. It has no doubt seen heavy use possibly right up to and during the Civil War. The pistol is 14" long with a 7 7/8" barrel. The bore is worn and measures about a .75 now. The action is still strong. There are various markings all over various parts. It almost looks like  a "US" stamped on the breech but the "U" is not clear enough to be positive. Many of these old horse pistols were imported early in the war. The pistol shows a lot of use so I have priced it very competively. One can only imagine what action it has seen in its lifetime. Buyer pays actual cost of insured priority mail.
