"A.J. Plate/Slotter Lawsuit Henry Deringer Pistol. .42 caliber with a 1 ¾" barrel. 5 ½" overall length. This is one of the guns made for A.J. Plate in San Francisco by Slotter. These guns were the subject of the lawsuit filed by Henry Deringer. The construction of this gun is much different than an actual Henry Deringer. While the markings say Derringer, these are spurious and counterfeit and the reason for Deringer’s lawsuit. The overall condition is excellent with good finish on the barrel, sharp engraving and good checkering.
