Description:
1892 .38-40 ROUND BARREL RIFLE, #755XXX, MADE 1914. A good example that shows fine aged and lightly thinning blue on the barrel. The magazine tube shows a little deeper blue with only very minor thinning on the bottom. The receiver is a light brown with some aged blue mixing in. Good blue on the loading gate and bolt. The buckhorn rear sight has had the "wings" filed a bit and retains the elevator bar. Front sight is the typical Winchester blade. All excellent markings, Butt stock and forend are solid and show only normal light handling. Bore has good rifling with some scattered mainly light surface pitting toward the middle of the barrel and is fairly bright. Good screw heads and tight action and strong safety half-cock on the hammer.
