Beautifully carved boar hunt crook formed handle with high relief Wild Boar Head “note the ivory tusks showing in the boars mouth”, Giant Eland Head and with the Hounds in pursuit, each with inset glass eyes, 5” long handle with a 1" Sterling Silver collar with horse heads on either side. Mounted on a tapered stepped bamboo wood shaft with 1" tapered brass and iron ferrule, total length 34 1/2”. The pommel was carved by a talented artist. There is and expert repair on the butt of the handle. All components are stable and have been there for a century and likely will be for a century more. Late 19th century. A naturalistic carving depicting a hunter with a spear ready to deliver the Coup de Crace.  Distinguished by a creamy and uniform patina covering this piece with character and allure.   Other items shown are not included. Walking sticks of this distinction sell from $2500.00 to $5000.00. Because of the repair I am offering it at the most favorable price of $1295.00
