Description:
Spencer Repeating Rifle Company made carbine with a 22 inch round 6-Groove barrel with a bright shiny bore with scattered light roughness and strong rifling. Barrel has been lightly cleaned long ago and has now turned gunmetal gray color. Original sights. Receiver has also been cleaned long ago and has now toned a pewter gray. Markings are lightly worn but mostly visible. The left side has a neatly engraved initials in script "NA". Most likely period engraved. Just a few small inspector marks are visible. Front barrel band is a replacement. Walnut stocks are in good condition with just good old honest wear to them. Nice functioning action. Another good example of a Civil War carbine.
