Description:
This very scarce World War 2 Winchester Model 12 Trench Shotgun with factory parkerized finish was manufactured in the middle of 1942. The Trench Shotgun features the distinctive, original heatshield/bayonet adapter with thick sling swivel and nickel-plated front sight bead. The barrel, receiver, magazine tube, and heatshield/bayonet adapter are all finished in the distinctive factory parkerization. The receiver has the typical yet sought after rough and unpolished parkerization commonly found on Model 12 Trench Shotguns. The bolt is bright and bore is nicely maintained. The stock and forearm are walnut with a Military Oil Finish. The stock has extremely clear and crisp W.B. cartouche as shown in photos. The left side of the barrel is marked "Winchester Trade Mark- Model 12-12GA-2 3/4 CHAM. CYL". The top of the barrel is marked with U.S. Flaming Bomb and Winchester smokeless powder proof. The top of receiver is marked with Winchester Smokeless Powder Proof. The right side of the receiver is marked "U.S." with a U.S. Flaming Bomb. The serial numbers on both the bottom of the barrel and receiver are matching in number and show this gun to be early to middle 1942 production. The bayonet is Original Winchester 1917 production with Flaming Bomb on opposite side. The scabbard is original to the bayonet. Original finish Parkerized Winchester Model 12's are incredibly scarce and sought after. Don't miss your chance on this one.
