Up for sale is a gently used FN Mauser Safari Rifle (.416 Rem .Mag.). This item has a 24” barrel with a shiny bore, express type iron sights, barrel band sling swivel, model 70 style safety and checkered wood stock.
The blueing is in great condition with just a couple of small scratches on the left edge of the trigger guard. The stock is also in great shape, it shows one blemish in the checkering and some light scratches behind the sling swivel and just ahead of the recoil pad. Mounted on top is a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8 variable power scope utilizing quick detach rings.
This rifle was built at the Barnes Custom Shop (Barnes Bullets) by Randy Brooks and the stock work was done by Bob Evans. This rifle is beautifully crafted and the fit & finish was masterfully executed.
These rifles have become a rarity in the past couple of decades and you just don’t come across them every day. Comes with the RCBS dies, trimmer pilot and shell holder.
