Description:
Excellent example of an original pre-war 42 code1939 Nazi Mauser Luger with 1938 date stamped holster by GEBRUDER KUNGE. The receiver is stamped with the full date of 1939 with the new "42" code marking for the Mauser factory on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has double "Eagle/ 63" proofs and the single "Eagle/ Swastika" firing proof, barrel has eagle proofs on both sides. Condition is excellent with 90+ percent of the original blue finish showing wear on the edges and high spots and slight finish loss on the side plate. Bore is strong. The grips are very good with distinct checkering. One metal clip with aluminum base which has a 4 digit number that does not match the pistol serial number, other has no serial number and appears as a commercial magazine. Holster is in excellent condition showing minor wear with strong stitching. 9mm Luger
