I have an 1899 Brescia Cavalry Carbine with hex barrel and original spring loaded first pattern bayonet. It is in good to very good surplus condition for its age. When I got it, the stock was cracked at the throat during shipment. I repaired it since it was the original stock and have fired it after repair with no problem. I have other complete Cavalry carbines including all three bayonet types.
