This Winchester M70 "Super Grade", Cal .270, was mfg abt 1958. It is all original & has all of the correct
accruements of a "Super Grade" - Jeweled Bolt, Deluxe Walnut Wood w/Raised Cheekpiece, w/deluxe wrap-around checkering & "Super Grade" Floorplate (W/some edgewear), Black Foreend Tip & Black
Pistol Grip Cap & Recessed Sling Hinges.
The bluing is abt 96-98% - including the barrel and the parkerized black receiver. The barrel has both the White Diamond - adjustable rear sight and the Hooded front sight (All excellent). The buttstock is a nice medium walnut w/faint darker walnut waving throughout, The checkering is excellent w/wraparound pistolgrip and the forarm being excellent. The action is normal.
I would rate this Winchester as an "NRA Excellent" and a candidate for the serious "M70 Collector".
