Description:
From a 50+ year collection. Crisp, tight, little evidence of being fired. Scarce early round butt **. Serial range 349,xxx (last digit of serial number is hidden). Retains 90% original blue. Small areas and wee bits of wear and browning here and there, small area of wear under trigger guard. Tight and nice. Grips are flat mint but slightly oversized as is evident in images.
** Upon very close inspection this revolver may have originally been a square butt modiied to a round butt - see last few images or request more from us. Maybe the factory modified unused square butt frames to make the more desireble round butt or may have been modified later. A factory letter would confirm details however wait time for a letter could be 4-6 months. If the factory confirms modification was indeed done by the factory I would think it would be a scarce Banker's Special variation.
Letter "T" above serial number may be a clue.
Anyway, while we wait for a letter revolver is offered for sale.
