NSN, made in 1859, .58 caliber, 40"" round proofed barrel. First martial long arm to fire the .58 Minie ball with the Maynard tape primer system. Barrel and other iron furniture are a smooth light grey patina, lock plate is dated 1859. Stock is in very good plus condition with minor nicks, Action functions correctly, Bore is bright with some frosting visible in the grooves.
