Here we present an Engraved Colt Bisley Model Single Action Army Revolver in .41 Colt, manufactured in Hartford, Connecticut in 1906. Out of 44,350 Bisley revolvers made, only 3,159 were chambered for .41 Colt cartridges.
This is an example of the Bisley variant of the Colt Single Action Army revolver. The primary differences were a lower hammer spur and a more curvaceous grip frame. These were optimized toward target shooting but many general users and shooters who were not simply target shooters preferred them as well. This one comes in the .41 Colt chambering, which was a manstopper in its day.
The overall condition is fine. This one features very nice aftermarket scroll and punchdot engraving along with a gilt finish. The action is excellent with all 4 clicks and holding all notches. Cylinder indexes and locks up well. The bore is in great shape with strong rifling. The grips are ivory look-alike that are smooth and solid and yellowed. The numbers match.
