Description:
This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 made at the end of the war in 1945. It is all matching and has only one "Eagle 359" military proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued to the military. There is a "Waffen 76" proof on the barrel, indicating it was made by FNH. The gun has a late-war cog hammer and some phosphate small parts (typical of late-war guns). Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct 'jvd' magazine. It has retained about 90% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There is an area of light scratching on the right side of the slide. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
