EXCELLENT CIVIL WAR SHARPS & HANKINS U.S. NAVY MODEL 1862 BREECH LOADING CARBINE. 24” leather covered .52 Spencer caliber barrel. 100% original excellent condition overall. The best one we have had with all the original leather, superb screws with original blue, and all the original finish on the stock. Frame a dark patina with traces of blue about the screw holes. Leather in really top condition for one of these with all the stitching and no loss at the bottom of the frame. Hammer, lever and trigger even have most of the oil quenched black case hardening. Excellent bright bore and very tight working order. Very superior example and scarce with only 6686 manufactured.
