Description:
Scarce Remington Model 8 in 25-35. Serial # 14459 dates to manufacture in 1909. Features a 22” barrel that is amazingly clean for a 114-year-old rifle. The grooves are crisp and there is no pitting or rust. The outer barrel is dent / rust free. The bluing is thin in many areas and carries a noticeable plum overall. The stock and forearm are crack free and appear to have been refinished in the distant past. There are 2 shallow round spots on the right side of the stock that are about ¼” in diameter, purpose unknown. The balance of the English stock and forearm are quite nice for the age with just a couple of dings in the stock. Flat metal butt plate. THe LOP measures 13 1/2" from the center of the butt plate to the center of the trigger. This rifle cycles and locks up as it should and appears fully functional. Please review the pictures and ask questions. Shipping, insurance, packaging & handling is a flat $50.00 east of the Mississippi, $60.00 west. I ship on Saturdays and Mondays.
