S O L D ......Trenton m1861 .58cal Civil War Musket......LAYAWAY?... Civil War Era US Trenton 1861 .58cal NJ Contract Musket in excellent condition. It seems fully functional and the bore is extraordinary. COMES WITH SLING and BAYONET!!!... The metal is in the white and the wood may have been lightly sanded at some point. Lock has traces of case color! 1863 Dated Model 1861 .58 caliber "Trenton Contract" percussion rifle-musket The rifled musket was a product of the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Company of Trenton, New Jersey, circa 1863-64 and was sold to the State of New Jersey under contract (stamped). The firm also had contracts with the U.S. government as well, and produced some 11,500 weapons for the army.
