We have here a Fully Engraved Colt Single Action Army Interpol .45 Colt Sterling Silverplate 4 3/4" Serial Number SA94029, Built in 1991
This Colt is #20 of 154 that were produced. They were engraved by one of four Colt Master Engravers, most likely A.A.White because it is such an early model.
This Colt was Factory custom made to the specifications of David M. "Carbine" Williams, a former convict on a chain gang. Mr. Williams held more than 60 patents
for firearms, one being the M-1 Carbine. Features include the blued trigger, blued screws, checkered hammer, fixed sights and is held by the Ivorex grips. It features full coverage
engraving using floral scroll designs with a punch dot background on most surfaces including the hammer sides. in addition, the grip straps have a diamond pattern with
"DAVID M. WILLIAMS/GODWIN - N.C." on the butt. An Indian village is on the right rear of the frame, an Indian scout on the left rear, a buffalo head is on the loading
gate and a bear in a wooded scene is on the recoil shield. The top of the barrel is marked, 'COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CONN. USA." and "COLT SINGLE
ACTION ARMY .45" in a panel on the left side of the barrel. "INT-20/SA94535" is marked on the bottom of the frame.The revolver is encased in a genuine leather "book"
with a gold embossed Interpol logo on the cover and purple fitted lining with a satin covered inner lid. This is an extremely rare revolver and they do not come up for
sale very often.
