Description:
This is a scarce Winchester Model 1886 standard rifle with 26in round barrel. Serial dates it to 1910, after the change to a blued finish on the frame and buttplate had been made. This one has nice bluing on the barrel and magazine tube but the receiver and lever bluing have worn off. The bore has strong rifling but some frost and freckling throughout. Stock and forend are in good condition but the forend has two small repairs (likely was chipped). Lever action is smooth.
