Description:
Scarce early gun made on a #2 frame with 32" fine Damascus barrels.  Made with checkered splinter forend which has engraved release.  Full sidelock action is beautifully engraved in game scene and scroll pattern with awesome full sized pointer in circle on bottom - something I have never seen before on a Grade 3 and most likely part of the Dubray special order.  The gun is stocked with its original capped pistol grip buttstock and terminates with its original Parker Skeleton buttplate.  A 1" section at the butt has been removed, then the same piece of wood added back in - most likely during a generational transfer - the gun was given from father to son and as he grew, the original piece added back on.  This gun has a PGCA research letter with it indicating it was shipped to A.W. Dubray in KY and ordered by him.  DuBray spent a good deal of time there and is well known to have won several important shoots in the state.  Whether this gun was used by him remains unknown, but it most likely was!

The gun remains in pleasing overall condition as seen in the photos.  Barrels retain nearly all of their perfectly restored bold vivid damascus pattern.  The action has toned to a pleasing gray with some faint traces of original color remaining and engraving remains mostly clear and crisp.  Stocks are sound and retain most of an older restored finish with subsequent minor handling marks.  Bores are mostly bright with some scattered erosion on the inside.  Gun is tight and sound.  Hammer springs are strong.

This is a rare gun with a ton of merit for a hardcore Parker guy.  It is priced at $7495 plus shipping to you directly as an antique.  Please dont hesitate to contact me at (704) 280-2382 or via PM  on this site with any questions or reasonable offers.
