Colt SAA B/P .45/c Sr.#163799 with Colt Historian Letter, sold to Walter Tips, Austin Texas Jan.10,1896. It show's the relvolver finish as "nickel" and a 4&3/4' barrel, it has been polished and crome plated? It carries a beautiful set of bone handles that would have dressed it up originaly, the letter states that the stocks are not listed. Researching Mr. Walter Tips of Austin Texas, shows him as a very prosperous hardware merchant and served in the State Senate from 1893-96, what a history! His Victorian Home from 1876 still stands today as a Texas Historic Land Mark.
