Description: For sale is a nice Winchester 1894 26" octagon barreled rifle chambered in .32-40 caliber. The bore is bright with strong rifling and no pitting. The accompaning Cody Museum search letter confirms the gun to be in the original configuration. The metal finish on the barrel and magazine has faded to a brown patina and shows a few light dings and light pitting near the muzzle. The receiver,bolt. lever, and crescent buttplate are turning grey with light freckling throughout. The wood carries some bruises and scratches but no cracks or missing chips. The action is tight and functions as designed. Insure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price.
