Description:
PRICE REDUCED---For sale ia a 1904 Winchester 1894 rifle in 32-40 caliber. The 26" octagon barrel has a strong and shiney bore. It appears that it is a factory replacement barrel (rework stamp on barrel) and was converted to a half magazine configuration. The accompanying Cody Museum search letter does not mention any rework but does show .32-40 octagon barrel as the original configuration. The barrel finish has some light dings and scratches.The receiver has faded to a light grey. There is considerable pitting on the lever and light pitting on the link. The wood shows an accumulation of 118 years of bruises, dings, and scratches with a slim 3" chip missing on the right side of the forearm. The action is tight and functions as designed. Ensure that your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price. No sales to Hawaii or any other locale that would prohibit purchase of this firearm. Shipping via USPS ground insured and tracked is $60. Sales to Alaska may require additional charges.
