Description:
Flawless, same as new 1968 Winchester Model 70 in 30-06 caliber offered for sale. The 1968 model redesign included an "anti-bind" bolt design, steel floorplate, stainless magazine follower and refined satin stock finish. It is a very handsome rifle with nicely figured walnut and well-polished, deep blueing. This is a museum quality rifle to shoot or collect.
The pictured scope and case are available for an additional $200. The scope is a mint Balvar 8B variable power scope, introduced in 1968 by Bausch & Lomb and was the first to feature modern, internal elevation & windage adjustments. It is bright and clear even by modern standards. It is mounted with period correct Weaver split bases and NOS large thumb-wheel rings. The hardshell case is an NOS period-correct Doskocil case w. keys, perfect for storing this time machine.
As indicated, the rifle, scope and case all present as brand-new without a single flaw and the rifle has never been fired.
