We offer you a “FYP” Remington Model 700 BDL Mountain Rifle Chambered in .308 Winchester Made in 1988.
Remington introduced the Mountain Rifle model 700 BDL variation in 1986. In 1988 the .308 Winchester caliber was added to the line making this a First Year Production rifle in this caliber. The Mountain Rifle version has a lighter tapered 22 inch barrel with a satin finish on the American Walnut Monte Carlo stock. An Ebony tip was added to the stock with a matching black grip cap. The rifle has an excellent bore with no issues. The stock shows some light surface marks from use with one compression at the bottom behind the factory sling swivel stud as shown. The recoil pad shows a depression that doesn’t affect the use. The rest of the stock is very fine condition. The bluing on the barrel, receiver and bottom metal is in excellent condition. On top it wears Leupold scope mounts and 1 inch rings. Overall the 35 year old Mountain Rifle is in very fine condition and ready for your scope.
The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “C6297568” at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked with a warning above “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.” followed by “308 WIN.”. The left side of the chamber is marked with a proof mark followed by the date code of “DI” and assembler number “59”. The right side of the barrel is marked with test and proof marks at the breech. The bottom of the factory jeweled bolt is hand scribed with the last four of the serial number “7568”.
