Beautiful, All Proper, WWII Colt 1911A1 U.S Property, 45 auto!  This Colt was made in 1945 and shipped to Transportation Officer, Springfield Armory on February of 1945. It's marked G.H.D for Guy H. Drewry, Brig. General inspector mark. Correct barrel, marked "COLT 45 AUTO", and a "P" on left side of barrel lug, with outstanding, pristine  bore condition, I would say a 9 out of 10! "Crossed cannon" final inspection appropriately marked on left side of receiver. Bullet ramp correctly finished (parkerized), as expected on Colts produced after 1944!  It comes with correct WWII Colt magazine (no markings), also just like new!.  No serial number under the firing plate, as expected, since they stopped this practice between serial numbers 1140000 and 1145000.  All correct small parts (Correct short hammer and stamped checkered trigger, grooved slide stop, checkered safety lock, grooved mainspring housing with 7 ribs, etc...).  Original correct Coltwood plastic stocks with mold numbers, wide rings, and strengthening ribs, in excellent condition! The action on this pistol is super crisp and it operates flawlessly!  This piece is in fantastic condition, as the pictures clearly show!
