NSN, circa 1756, .80 caliber, 45.75"" smoothbore barrel. 1st Model Brown Bess in overall very good condition. Barrel and iron furniture is a smooth dark grey patina. Lock plate is marked with ""CROWN/ GR/ BROAD ARROW/"" behind the cock ""JORDAN/1756"". Wrist plate is marked ""XXVII/48"" Stock shows expected nicks and dings. The 27th Regiment of Foot fought in many battles during the French and Indian War. They returned to America to fight during the Revolution 1775-1783, Notable battles are ""Long Island, White Plains, Brandywine, and Germantown. Beautiful example of a British Revolution War musket.
