Description:
This FN Model M249S is a semi-automatic version of the legendary M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) in 5.56 NATO Cal. It is piston driven, gas operated, air cooled, belt or magazine fed that fires from a closed rotary bolt. It features the ability to change barrels quickly to extend barrel life when firing long sustained strings of fire by keeping the barrel from overheating. It has the ability to feed from either a disintegrating link belt out of a 200 round box/ammunition pack or from M16 style magazines. It has a 16 inch barrel. Adjustable front and rear sights and a folding Bi-Pod. The buttstock is a collapsible PARA assembly. 5.56x45mm NATO
