Description:
Fine Stephen Grant 12ga game gun made with 28" steel barrels. Checkered splinter forend with double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in point pattern through the wrist with 3/4" wood extension over a checkered butt. Casehardened action is beautifully scroll engraved as seen in the photos. Side lever on right side for right handed shooter.
Gun remains in excellent overall condition. Barrels retain nearly all of their custom rust blue. The action is crisp with well defined engraving. Trigger guard with engraving slightly thinned. Stocks are sound, and excellent as restored with extension as noted above and seen in the photos. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp, the gun is tight and on face.
I've always wondered why the sidelever wasnt more widely adopted with the clean sighting plane. This gun is a joy to carry, balances well, and will be a joy this fall on pheasants.
