***SOLD***Colt Model 1878 12ga side-by-side shotgun, dated to 1882. This shotgun features a classic hammer gun profile, with lovely damascus steel barrels, a solid sideplate action, checkered walnut stock and forend, and a silver medallion in the stock. The shotgun is in excellent working order with fully functional locks, tight on-face barrels, and great bores. Some areas of finish wear and loss can be seen in the metal components and wood, as shown. The right-side hammer has a small crack, however it remains stable and could be easily repaired. The right barrel has a small dent at the muzzle as well. Please refer to the photos for overall condition. A wonderful example of a classic hammer gun! Antique, no FFL required.
