Bore remains as new. The Granite Mountain action features a three position side swing safety, drop box bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release, and Blackburn trigger. Square bridges milled for lever release quick detach 30mm rings. Stocked in a very nicely figured piece of European Walnut with a pancake cheekpiece, two screw Fisher grip cap, two screw inletted rear sling stud, point pattern checkering, double crossbolts, and an Ebony forend tip. LOP is 14 1/8" to a Decelerator pad. Weighs in at 10lb 12oz with rings. Empire Rifles went out of business in 2011. They built rifles on Doumalin standard length actions and their own proprietary Mauser action with an octagon front receiver ring but their East Africa Model was built on the legendary Granite Mountain true magnum length double square bridge C-ring action. At one time they were the largest utilizer of the Granite Mountain action. This rifle shows only very minimal handling marks remaining in nearly new condition. It is built the way a safari gun should be with double crossbolts, integral barrel recoil lug, and an integral quarter rib. Excellent value. SOLD |
