Description:
This is a fine example of a Pre 64 Model 12 Trap, manufactured in 1961, Ser# 1925149. I believe after 1955? Winchester stopped marking "Trap" on the bottom of the barrel extension. This is a true factory Trap with monte Carlo stock. LOP is 14-1/2" to the original Winchester pad.
30" unaltered factory tight Full choke barrel with factory 3 pin vent rib. Duckbill rib extension on receiver.
Original finish on both metal and wood. Blueing is 98% with the all too often seen" idiot mark" on the receiver from the previous owner not making sure the forearm was fully forward when he reassembled the gun. There are the usual rub marks on the mag tube, The gun is tight, the pictures show the take up ring has not been moved.
As stated, it has the original factory finish on the wood with very nice grain in both the stock and forearm. Wood has some handling marks and a small chip on the left side of the stock at the recoil pad. Overall a very nice Pre 64 3 pin, that was shot but not abused.
