A beautiful 3rd Model Remington-Beals Revolver. .31 caliber, 4" octagon barrel with ram rod underneath. Five shot cylinder. Checkered Gutta-Percha grips. Blue overall finish. Retaining considerable high polish blue. Mechanically excellent. Only 1000 made and this one has lots of original beauty. The model number under the barrel is hard to make out. The frame under the grips is marked 827 and the grips are marked 827 and 829. The address panel on top of the barrel is plainly marked BEALS PAT. 1856, 57, 58 with the second line plainly reading MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION, N.Y. Larger than its predecessors, it's the Beals pocket revolver fitted with a rammer type loading lever. The loading lever must be lowered before the center pin can be removed. A beautiful example of a rare Early Remington Revolver. $30.00 shipping
